if there is a fault the engine check light will illuminate all the time the error is evident..

got to ETC --> Sensor S/W Check and you will see a list of sensors on the left and their voltage.. any out of range will be highlighted.

On the right is a number of switch statuses.. eg. A/C air con on / off, IDL when idling etc..

Cool, i had a feeling this would be the case. Im getting a reading of 0.45v on the tps sensor. However, i removed the connector at idle and it didnt stall...

Just trying anything i can at the moment to see if i can see if i can rectify this darn problem lol.

Within this sensor check, i assume i do it at idle? Is there anything i should look for? ie how would i identify a failing sensor?

Cheers simon

if you disconnect the tps I suspect it would continue idling wihtout issue..
the ecu will control the idle speed with the idle valve and removing the tps voltage wouldn't effect it on your year anyway.

only way really to tell would be to not them and monitor a change.. or them reacting oddly.. which is difficult to tell on the commander display, with datalogit on the laptop you can log the sensor values and look for oddities..
but to be honest you stalling problem doesn't sound like a sensor problem..

I expect it is related to the induction kit, fmic or dump valve that have been changed since it was mapped..

I am assuming the problem is still related to idle with air con on?

You can increase the idle speed for when the a/c is on..

Settings --> REV/IDL and got to the bottom most option.. possibly at 850 at the moment.. try 900.

Also worth letting it idle for a bit to ensure it has gone through the learn process again now the maf has been changed.

Will do, its a strange one. It stalled last night, without the aircon on, just the headlights. Ill adjust the idle and see if that helps.

Thank you.

worth increasing the idle for air con off as well then which is one up from the bottom.. should get you by until you go on holiday and then I map it etc..

Doing the full leanr on idle might sort it too.. although normally you get a little unstable idle rather than full on stalls.. let it idle for 5minutes with everything off.. then turn the electrics on.. lights, heated screen etc.. let it idle for 5minutes.. then turn the air con on and let it idle for 5minutes etc..
The fact that it is stalling seems like it is more than just that and just needs a dance on the laptop

Cool ill try that, so the learn process... is this just a case of letting it idle then turning on lights etc or will i need to activate something on the commander?

Thanks for all the info.
