Oil pressure warning sender location

Oil pressure warning sender location
97 Classic
I don't have an oil pressure gauge yet and I really think I ought to. I've seen kits for pounds and figure I can cobble something together for a few pence with a rumage in my Dads garage.
Could someone let me know where the oil pressure feed from the block is and if there's enough room for a normal T peice there.
Many thanks

it is above number2 (under the alternator).. there is not much room.. but a T will fit.. just.
However there are other blanks.. like above number 3.. but you would need to tap it..
The alternative which just popped into my head would be to alter the current switch to light the oil light at a higher than "engine already dead" level..
Presume the switch is pressured shut so perhaps restricting the flow of oil to it??
Also you could use a temperature gauge only.. this would allow you to see when oil temperature is normal.. and if you had a drop in pressure the temperature would increase and visa versa therefore giving you a similar indication.. ie. you get used to the normal running temperatures..

Thanks Simon
Don't know why I both posting here I should just email you
Will get my head stuck in later and see room available. Only intending to have pressure gauge under bonnet to periodically check the blood pressure.
Won't be tapping anything as I then have to get all the swarf out of the hole - mind you that would only be like my turbo
Incidentally on that front I'm hopefully getting a new turbine over the weekend that should be matched nicely with the compressor that gave the problems.

you can remove the bung and tap it.. then refit the bung..
I think I have a spare for when you **** it up.. lol
Or just get an oil pressure sensor adaptor from a breaker and fit it above number 3 (which is what I did for my oil temp).
The oil pressure senders that are mechanical aren't much money but i have had problems in the past.. driving along and suddenly my leg is very warm..
wonder what is going on.. pull over to find oil spraying out from under the dash
Sensor locations you can just see here on my engine.. oil pressure actually looks more like above number 1..
