does anyone know the difference between the z4 and z5 ecu i have a my94 wagon uk model and was going to change my ecu for a z4(would i then be limited to 112mph) but have been offered a z5 but dont know anything about it would it go straight in like the z4

little or very little difference between the two.. I believe the Z5 was the Z4 replacement but there are less of them hence the Z4 being the one mentioned so much.. yes 112mph restriction.

cheers if very little difference then will it fit the 4 plug no probs and give about the same figures as the z4 because ive been offered a z5 for £75 plus vat and delivery.

 

As long as it has 4 plugs it will be ok, however, doesn't the UK wagon have a TD04 turbo fitted? Z4 & Z5 are for TD05 unit.

 

uk wagons and loons had tdo5 untill the change over on a 96 or 97
