Driving along at 70 mph on motorway rev needle ficks to 0 then after 1 2 secs car comes to life and and revs back to normal , it seems like someone has disconnected battery for 1-2 secs and car dies then suddenly back to normal it is not fuel cut as i know what that feels like , car just dies for about a second and then back to normal . Any ideas ?

I know your car has a different system but I started getting the same symptons when the ECU on my MY00 was on it's way out. I notice you've got a aftermarket ECU, might be worth reseating it's connections.

 

A friend had a similar problem with his MY93 WRX - turned out to be a bad earth.
I think the earth cable from the block is a thick wire (not your usual braid) and is toward the back of the engine block, on the passenger side, somehwere under the intercooler. Probably worth checking that and battery terminals etc.
