I was wondering if anyone could give me some advise on the best new age style scoop to fit to a classic, I have a 98 STI Typr R and am looking to update the front but don't want to buy a poor fitting imatation scoop.

Mate you want a new age scoop on a classic Just my oppinion mate. Keep the soft round lines of the classic scoop on. Way to go.
