hi my scooby will only boost to 8.2psi iv tryed turning the boost controller up but no joy can any one help please

 

have you checked all pipes and connections to make sure there's no pipe lose or split? or engine warning light come on?

 

yes mate there all fine the car has louds of power but just wont boost abve 8.2psi any other ideas

 

does it feel as powerful as always? could be gauge.

 

no the boost is down on the boost gauge and the boost controller .once it reaches 8.2psi the car still pulls on engine power and you can feel that it wont to keep going but just wont boost over that it used to go up to 14psi no problems then one day just stoped

 

i'm sure someone one here will have had the same problem as you with same corse as yours

 

I've been told its the boost solenoid u will only get around 0.8 bar maybe worth cleaning it if that doesn't work try a friend who has one.Or your actuator could need winding up some more or possible that knacked have to give it a pull and see how weak the spring is.
