Default Exhaust Wrap - temperature

Hi,

Am looking at getting some heat wrap for my headers.

I've been donated some and it is 1000F rated.

Is this sufficient temperature rated ?

Thanks.

Well i measure my exhaust gases in the up pipe and on full tilt, 900 deg C can be seen.. thats when i back off lol

I dont know if the actual headers will get that hot. However i run the DEI thermotec wrap and it works really well.

What is the stuff youve been offered mate ???
