Gems ecu / fault codes?

Just wondering if anyone knows if you can still get error codes when youve got an aftermarket ecu fitted such as the gems on my p1?

Nope, no codes available at all, you have to use the Gems software and some "old fashioned" knowlege to diagnose faults.
