Oil additives, any good?
As above, wondering if its worth using an additive in my oil. Noticed the car is sounding a little tappety lately, not alot just me being fussy. Iv seen the Wyns stuff in Halfrauds and was wondering if its any good?

I had an evo with the same problem and tried using the same wyns product ,it made no difference .changing the oil for one with a thicker viscosity [ if noisy when hot ] may be a better solution. Millers do a 15w60 competition full synthetic oil that might be worth a look, Demon Tweeks have it in stock.

I asked the same question over the phone to Guy ( Oilman on here ) only yesterday.
He told me to stay well clear of these additives as they more often than not cause more damage than good, and are just gimmicks.
He told me the solution is to buy the correct graded oil for your car, and also it pays to buy the best stuff you can.
I think his web-site is www.opieoils.co.uk
By the way, he is a very helpful and polite fella on the phone. A thumbs up from me anyway.
