Default Remapping and tuning the stock ECU

ive been tuning nissan and honda ecu's for a while realtime on my laptop with an emulator, but havnt looked into subaru's.

from what ive read, do they all need daughter boards soldered in? do they run stock 28pin eproms as standard? are they a 512k eprom , 256 or 1028? mainly talking about WRX's and older RS legacy's.

is there anywhere i can read up on them or a forum of such kind?

cheers.
zak.

Not too sure, thought about the idea myself, but didnt look into it indepth enough to advise you, I know that there is a plug in daughterboard available on that auction site, maybe that will help you

standard chip to fit in the spare socket is a fujitsu 27C1028.
You can emulate this with 2 27C256 or 2 27C512's splitting ODD/EVEN bytes. That's what the adaptor boards do, as the 27C1028's are pretty rare, unless you know where
