Re: Next Series of Mods
Hi All,
I have a v3 Type R 2.5 with all supporting mods !
Just thinking out loud what I can do next after the next series of mods is done.
Due to be fitted next month
Tein Coilovers
17" Alloys & Toyo's
Oil Cooler
Cold Air Induction - what is the real benefit of this modification, is there any real drawbacks ?
Due in by December or before
Upgrade Front brakes - AP 4 pot kit
20g
Now what.....? I know the gearbox will be close to the limit once new turbo is mapped at 400/400 but what comes next ......
Would be good to get some real world feedback !
Thanks

at a guess, a gearbox! if its going to be near its limit then chances are it will go.
especially as its 10 years old now. If you fitting a 20g soon, what turbo have you got on it at the moment? it must spin up quicker than taz on speed.

Re: Turbo
Current Turbo is VF35 at 1.2 bar gives me 330/340 safely.
I do like the short ratio on the type r gearbox - can this gearbox be strengthened - using new internals to handle the power ?.
cheers

Speak to Paul @ Zen, he will be able to advise you on your options re: building a strong 5 speed...it wont be cheap though...about 2.5k.
