Default Gearbox failure

Right, my gearbox has gone this time!! Car is a MY96 WRX STI. Checked out the code and it is TY752VB4AA.

What other gearbox can I put in without changing the rear diff???

Can I put in RA gears with the original casing???

(It's booked in at AS Perfomance for them to assess the damage, hopefully Alyn can rebuild it, if not, I'll be in search of a 2nd hand unit, hence the Q's!)

Safe hands with Alyn.
He will steer you correctly.

A rear diff change is just hard work.
You will need a 4:111 ratio diff; very common on older Imprezas from Japan so easy to find!

good source can be David at www.apiengines.com

So any gearbox with a final ratio of 4.11 will fit without having to change the rear diff -
