Default Is this hose...

Just a breather hose? Im talking about the one that goes into the induction hose after the maf.

If so can i just put a breather filter on the engine end and block off the hole on the induction end?

Its just someone has botched it in the past and i dont trust it one bit
Cheers
Sam

I think it is the feed for the Idle control valve.
If you block it or fit a breather filter to it the car will not run. It will start and run for about 8 secs and then stall.

Isn't that the return hose from the boost control solenoid i.e feeds the air bled away from the actuator back into the system.
If you block it you will only run 0.6bar boost.
