Default After fitting a newage TMIC to classic - car feel the same?

Theres plenty on here of how to fit a newage TMIC to a classic. However, I'm really asking if the car then behaves differently once fitted.

I've got a TMIC from a WR1 which I'm sure is no different to any other Newage STI TMIC and I've got the OE DV for it. With the OE DV fitted it will feel smoother as I have an HKS DV at the moment. Just wondered if the car itself will feel any different - I assume it won't.

I can't see it making any difference.

An better intercooler is really to allow other mods to be used to maximum benefit

The extra charge cooling will not even be taken into account unless you have a remap and even if you did I can't see it altering the feel noticabley.

Totally agree with Clint.
Unless you are uprating all the right parts, the TMIC will not really do anything for you over the stock one.

Was that the one off Ebay last week?

Firstly OE dumpvalve is probably the best availabe for the newage car. there is no point in changing it. Its fine at my tuning level.

With an ECU reset, you may get a bit more boost, if your intercooler was at the limits before. We are not talking huge and it wont be moticeable on the road.

What you have done, is made the car less succeptable inlet temps.

have a newage ic on my my00 classic wagon, other mods too but when mapped on an apexi pfc mapper later noted that the newage coolers although cool better than the classics, they seem to flow less.... so less ignition advance could be used

swings and roundabouts anyone?

you will end up with more lag if you fit an sti8 to a MY99 without a remap !!!
