Default Engine warning light on

MY02 Bug-eye WRX . Driving at a steady 50mph this morning and out of nowhere my engine warning light came on. Was'nt too worried as the engine sounded sweet and no other problems. I phoned my local dealer straight away to ask for advice. (Willoughby Subaru, Beeston Notts)
I spoke to one of the Subaru guys who told me to pop it in this afternoon for a check. Just plug it in and see what errors there where.

Anyway the guy on the service desk was suprised to see me as i wasnt booked in for a service. Good as gold he said he would see what he could do.
After about 30 mins I was told that number 1 sensor was reading 'lean on bank 1' Did a re-test and the fault went away. So no new sensors today thankfully.

Anyway I wasnt charged, although they said they normally do charge for labour. Cheers guys!

If its my down pipe thats on its way out im going for a full system!
