"Check Engine" Light. - Intermittent?
Firstly the car is a standard 1995 UK Turbo.
Recently I've been getting a check engine light whilst cruising between 60-90mph. But the light goes out once I pull over, whilst the engine is still running and remains off for the rest of my journey. It has happened twice in the last 800 miles.
I have had check engine lights before but they have remained on and I have been able to check the fault code after connecting the male and female plugs beneath the dash, will a code still be present even though the light is out or will it be a previous code?
Should I be worried about this? The car is running fine, no smells, missfires, loss of power etc, just an intermittant check engine light.
Anyone encountered this or have any thoughts?
Thanks in advance,
Rob.

iirc fault history will be stored for 50 restarts. So the fact your chk light isn't on at this time matters not. There should be something stored. Check it out. Check lights come on for a reason. Probably not a life and death situation but never the less it needs sorting.
