Question Clutch release arm spring type uk ?

Can any one tell me if a newage 6 speed sti has a spring to pull the clutch release arm towards the clutch? i know the 5 speed has one.

I only asking cause i think i lost mine! and the clutch pedel feels notchy

Could anyone who has a sti 7,8 or 9 please have a look under the bonnet to see if there is one fitted?? (Nearside under intercooler)

do you know what the purpose of the spring is for?

there is one on the 7 8 and 9s and it helps the pedal to spring back up if there isnt one on then your pedal will stick towards the floor sometimes correct me if im wrong.

Yes it is supposed to have a spring and yes it is needed.

It prevents the pushrod returning too far back into the cylinder, if not fitted the pedal will require more than one deppression to fully disengage the clutch.
