Hi mate, thanks for your reply..
It does look like a tidy job, so how did you go about fitting it?
Did you have to take any of the plastic surround off or did you cut it away where it is?
Jus could do with fitting advice now

Phone Maxx Models in Warick, the bloke there used to own one and fitted his. He might be able to advise on the fitted, then again he might not.

Either way good luck.

LegacySTi - How did you move the mounting points for the roller blind rear shelf / load cover???

I tried to fit one of these to my 1994 wagon and it got right in the way of the speakers and the mounting holes for the load cover!.

Any hints?

The brace is a genuine STi one from a 93-96 WRX RA OR STi RA.

@ codfather. LOOKING AT THIS PICTURE. Firstly you'VE to get one of these strut braces as fitting instrutions based on one these. Right firstly loosen up all your plastics sides. Then you hacksaw neatly were rear blind used to go. Then you've to cut pieces outta the pink bit til it fits. You can see from picture.

The important thing is to tape the right sized spanner to the brace so you can remove it if you want to put something big into the boot.

The pink strut brace pictured above is a sedan version (?). If you buy one designed for the wagon, it crosses straight over without any bends in the strut top plates.

@hmhaga Your wagon is facelift one where your rear speakers are in rear door rather then boot. Yours is very simple to work from. Check my pictures to see earlier type boot. Very messy.

The top line is where i cut from the other side to fit under the plastic. Just marked it that side so you can see. Second line is bit you cut out to fit around speaker bit!!
