Default Fuel pump upgrade

About to upgrade my fuel pump in the next day or two, can abody tell me what size the nuts are that hold the access lid on the fuel tank, so if i need to buy a socket i can go get it before i start, also is there a gasket between the lid and tank, if so will this need to be replaced.

Iirc the nuts are 10mm, the gasket iirc is a rubber type seal and this can be re used with no problems.

Best to do it when your tank is nearly empty and make sure the area is well ventillated and that you dont smoke near by. (I know you will know this already)

8mm fixings,re useable gasket underneath.... allow at least an hour after running the car for the fuel pressure to subside before releasing the fuel lines,as fuel will spray everywhere otherwise, have some rags handy just in case....re use the original filter sock on te new pump,as its larger than the upgraded ones ( walbro anyway) and will sit further inside the tank

or disconnect the fuel pump and then run the engine, it will run for a short period of time and de pressurize the system. When it first stalls though, restart it again and it will run for a little longer.

Unless the car is old or you have done lots of mods, chances are you do not need an uprated fuel pump. It may make your car run richer than it already is if you know your existing AFRs.
