how to test maf??

Default how to test maf??

is there a way to test if the maf is failing? using a voltmeter or something?all this talk on here bout maf failures and melted pistons has gotten me paranoid! mines a MY98 uk turbowagon and have heard the mafs are pretty good but id like to know a way if there is to test if its on its way out....

Dont know if its right or not but I unplug mine with engine running and if engine cuts out then MAF should be fine
