Default Apexi Boost solenoid

Hi all!

I'm looking at fitting a chipped ecu to my '93 wrx (which runs 1.2bar), but have been told by a few people that the standard solenoid valve won't be able to keep up! - causing creep

Wondering - is the apexi boost solenoid a direct/replacement fit??? as I'm guessing this would cure boost creep problem!

I heard somewhere that it has a map sensor built in, is this true??

cheers
Mark.

standard ecu cannot be mapped to 1.2bar safely as the original MAP sensor tops out at 1.23bar.. creap would be because the ecu would be seeing 1.23bar and adjusting the duty down slightly not realising the boost in the mean time is creaping to 1.4bar etc..

There is nothing wrong with the standard 3port.

The Apexi 3 port is a direct replacement but would make no difference in this case.

No it doesn't have a built in map sensor.

the ecu needs mapping to the new map sensor.. if it is not set up to the new one it will not run correctly..
