Default Lots of querys please help me!

Right,

ive got an sti2 and the oil pump went so instead of a rebuild ive managed to get a new sti8 short motor from subaru. Im under the impression this will bolt straight on is that correct?

Im trying to get hold of a clutch and flywheel too but would this be for the sti8 fitment or just the same as it was( classic sti2)?

Would i get any cash for the old motor if its just the pump thats gone?

Anyhelp would be greatly appreciated on this subject as im a bit stuck.

Cheers all.

no deffinative answers but some points to consider.....
sti8 might fit your car as the physical size is ok ie 2 liter but mounting points might differ over the ages
would think the earlier clutch at least might be neeeded to match up with the gearbox splines on your box, flywheel mounting on the sti8 block might be different to earlier classic
if the oil pump has failed consider the whole bottom end toast..... detailed inspection might reveal some bits are ok,but lack of oil is the death knell of any engine.

if its as simple as the oil pump, you would just replace that item!! sounds to me like the b/end is rattled as a min. if not trashed..........what exactly are your symptoms or diagnosis??

as for the other queries, then everything wil bolt in just the same using your existing mounts, flywheel, etc. and if a new clutch is needed you simply buy the correct fitment for your car..........
