Ok guys i admit i'm an idiot. I took my solenoid pipes off for a clean (just had 30,000 mile service and you just KNOW subaru will have brimmed the oil) anyhow, you know that one pipe with the restrictor in it, well it's offset if i'm right (more pipe on one side that on other), i kinda forgot which way it goes, not sure if it makes a differnece but i've put in back with the longer piece of pipe to the turbo. Is this right? does it make a differnce?

the pipe work length is not important BUT wheer the restrictor sits is............

it should be in the pipe from the compressor housing, before the t-piece.......

the restrictor is in the pipe you mention, just wanted to make sure i hadn't got it in the wrong way
