Rocker Cover Gaskets

Had car in for an oil change today and mechanic said the rocker cover gaskets were on the way out. He showed me very small amounts of oil seeping from the gaskets.

He said its nothing to worry about yet but keep an eye on the oil level.

Is it just a case of fitting new gaskets and how much would that cost?

thanks for that. The mechanic did say that it could just need sealer.

Dont waste your time trying to seal them with sealer!! They will only leak again. You might as well renew them. They take about 30mins to change, be carefull on the o/s one tho, make sure you cover the headers below, otherwise the oil spill straight onto it.
