air lock in water system

** head gasket failure **

How soon does it go to the top? If it is very quick then could be a temp sensor. Does it start okay when cold?

Might just be the heat, is it over heating when yo push it? or just when its sat there?

my oil temp went from stone cold, to 107 degrees in about 8 mins on sat afternoon, and that was taking it easy till it hit 80, quick run down 1 junction on the motorway, then back up again and that was 107 even taking some of it easy cos i noticed it was getting high

My STi has run hot as couple of times, first time after i had moved the header tank inc disconnecting the top hose so it might have been an air leak and second time was sunday just gone, did nothing at all to the engine but it started to get a bit hot 114 degrees on the commander so i topped up with water and its been fine ever since

coincidence??? i hope so

I had an overheating problem when i got my bugeye...I found that all the levels where ok, no leaks...

Ended up being the radiator was partly blocked, as they are prone to this.

Swopped the rad and its been great ever since...
