knock link wiring

Default knock link wiring

got me a detalarm from roojai and was just wondering how to wire it up to the oem knock sensor??? i no i need 12v + to the box but which wires on the knock sensor do i splice into,cheers

surely someone has wired up a knocklink to existing oem sensor????

Lol, i've asked Rupert to update his instructions to include this info (i emailed him to ask to be sure).

Red wire - 12v supply (switched) inside car
Brown wire - signal from knock sensor (red wire)
Black wire #1 - earth from knock sensor
Black wire #2 - earth inside car

EDIT: have just realised you want to wire into the OEM sensor. The above should still stand true but i'd use the sensor supplied.

cheers mate,didnt get supplied sensor,guna use oem one.

I would get the ecu pinout diagram and then take the knock signal from there (ie splice into the signal wire and run this to the brown wire from the display). If you use a significant length of wire then it may need to be shielded.

If you do this then you should not need to connect the ground sensor wire from the display at all.

As far as I am aware you are the first to try the oem sensor - letme know how it goes.

How did this work?? Im thinking of buying one and want to know if i can use the oem bosch det sensor???

didnt mate but thats because my oem sensors was fooked.got bosch one seperate now.

did you get a new bosch and replace the fooked one and splice or did you fit 2 new bosch sensors? if so where did you fit second one
