perfect, for the first 1000 miles - as you should be keeping it under 3000rpm it will allow things to bed together nicely. After 1000 miles, switch to a high quality semi or fully synthetic 10w40 and take it easy for the next few hundred miles, gradually building up the revs over this time.

As above, except stay with the semi-synthetic till around 6000miles. Then go fully synthetic (10w 40 for standard/mildly modded)..
If you go to fully synthetic too early it can actually stop the extended running in period (scoobs are notorious for not really loosening up until at least 6000 miles)..!

Just dont go for the fully synthetic until the below quote due to the engine still needing to bed in as the fully synthetic oil will severly hamper this
