which petrol
hi all
my 51 plate wagon has a problem where it "hunts or jerks"
one of these terms will be familiar to most of you. as you are accelerating it feels as if it is stuttering along. i took it to a scooby dealer in the boro and the guy there rigged it up to his computers and said everything is o.k. ho hum...
he then asked if i used super unleaded petrol, i replied the salesman at this dealership told me i could used unleaded for three tank fulls and super for the forth and so on.
who is right and could i be damaging anything by using "normal" unleaded?
regards Stan

Optimax is the best fuel to use for any jap motor, uk spec or not. if you keep changing the fuel you put in the tank the ecu has to keep adjusting to suit but this takes about 2 tanks worth to settle. If I was in your shoes I would just fill up with the good stuff, reset the ecu and keep with the same juice. If its still doing the same after a few tanks then you can start blaming somthing on the car for the problems your getting.
