Default Prodrive Ecu

Is there any way that you can check with prodrive if your ecu has been upgraded as part of the ppp? After only getting 230bhp on a recent rolling road i'm curious as to why i'm so far down on power. Obviuosly i can see that i've got the exhaust/decat and silicone hose i just want to check the ecu. I did note the serial number of the old ecu and it's different from the one thats on now (it also has 02wrx in black marker pen on it).
It's doing my head in now why i seem to be driving a slow impreza !!!

Default ecu.....

Hi mate....
when the car had this fitted..it should have come back with a PPP certificate, issued by Subaru/Prodrive
i have the UK300 with PPP on it and i have the certificate in my service history folder..
would have thought all PPP'd Subaru [ original ] would have this certificate .
I would try the dealer it was bought from ,from new give them your reg/chassic no. they might tell you..
Cheers mate.......

Cheers Peppe,

I am still waiting for the certificate to come through. I had ppp installed 2 months ago now. Dealer says there's been admin problems at prodrive and thats why there're a delay with the certificate. Seems an awfully long time. Just posted a message in general forum to see if any others have had the same delay

Default PPP'd off

Hi mate..
remember,if you had your car on the Rolling road recently in this HOT weather this would have brought the figures down straight away as it wouldn't have been pulling in enough Cold Air

I'd wondered about that. But would the weather drop 20 or so ponies off. I got 231 bhp. Car doesn't feel much different before and after the ppp. The bottom end torque is better but i still don't get full boost until 3500rpm and then it's not very aggressive. I have it booked in for 30,000 mile service on friday at the dealers. Not sure where to go from here.

Hi,
As you probably know the only way to get a new PPP is through official dealers and then warranted/ guaranteed as per the standard car. Then all queries or problems are supposed to be dealt with through the dealer. Prodrive are not necessarily keen to speak to you directly but it can be done.
If you have the serial numbers etc from the new ECU you can call 01295 273355 and ask for the technical department. I've done it and got exactly the information you want for my car, so if you are tactful I'm sure you can too.
