My car's been mapped to 1.25bar, with it peaking at 1.33bar (occasionally). Not sure of the max you can go to though.

On the stock UK/Euro ECU you will hit boost cut at around 1.25bar, I would say 1.15ish is a safe bet providing your car is running OK.

whats that in PSi its running 274 BHP at PE with tek 2 full H&S exhaust. but as yet i have no gauges so dont want to adjust anything. from previous expierience with vauxhalls! what gauges would be beneficial im looking for 3 to go in the top pods you can get for classics.. also what make? i like the apexi stuff but very expensive. but do like the blue dials with red needles! also supposed to be very accurate!
once have gauges whats the deal with the boost cut? what is safe to run on pretty much standard car???

18psi would be a good number, but fuelling needs to be matched as always...you can run that on a stock map.

Asking "what boost" without giving an idea of your engine spec is pointless.

I ran 1.3 bar on the standard TMIC + octane booster and ae802ecu for 20,000+ miles. Same engine with vf34 has been running 1.55 bar for a further 30,000 miles.

Wouldn't advise you do it necessarily unless you know what you're doing...

Get a free-flowing exhaust, hold 1.2 bar, replace intercooler pipes, vent crankcase breathers, use octane booster and consider replacing MAF for relatively safe gains. Ae800/801 ecu will help with MY99/00 cars.

In that case, certainly stick below fuel cut (around 1.2bar). 1.1 bar will probably be ok wrt fuelling as long as your fuel pump is ok.

I would strongly recommend getting a free flowing exhaust from turbo back.

It is hot in Portugal. Measure charge temperature and if you can keep it below 50-55C that would be good. Fit a knocklink.

I had run 21 psi with the wastegate pipe off. It was just an experiment.

100 octane does help it tolerate charge temperature better, but I would still detune it or let it cool if it goes over 50-55C charge temperature.
