Well guys to be honest the standard recirculating valve is probably the best one to have for the car i had one on my 94 wrx,got it changed recently had a baileys venture evo put on not one of the loudest valves but apparently the performance garage that fitted it said it was the best for car apart from standard recirc one cause all the others cause higher petrol consumption and cause the revs to fluctuate up and down in idle.
Some people may disagree with me but that is what i was told and i have had no probs with the baileys as yet apart from it not being as loud as i expected some people say they get louder the more they get run in but i aint sure hope it helps.. :-)

Forget both, leave the standard one on. all DVs do is make noise they add nothing to the performance of your car, if anything they make is worse. Do a search.

I swapped the standard one on my sti for a blitz dump valve.....and promptly removed it 3 days later. It was so loud that people looked at me like I'd just landed from space, and after each dump I got a loud bang from the exhaust.
Cool if that's your thing, but it's not mine.

either mate, baileys always pretty good. to be honest most of here are going to try and scare you off the idea... wont get any performance gains at all but some nice pops and bangs out the exhaust! i have Hks and its nice, not to loud but loud enough. 93 wrx

hi guys i just got a hks blow of valve of e bay for 70 pound bargain really as these retail at about 250 the sound of it is ace it has to valves one that opens on light throttle and a second that opens on full throttle.mine was of a pulsar gtir as all the hks ssq valves are the same so theye basically work on any turbocharged engine just the fitting kits that vary in my opinion id go for a hks.

I have a Bailey DV on my RA and it sounds awesome.
Does'nt sound like some chav in an RS.
Been to several meets and had a few people say they want that sound, and they're gutted that theirs sounds so chav.
Not sure what type it is though, was on the car when it was imported.
2 guys have told me its a Group something motorsport DV but I'm clueless.
Your'll get mixed reponses about DV's.
TBH I've never owned a turbo'd car without putting one on, I beleive they DO prolong the life of the turbo.
It's an individual thing as with most mods.

I've a Bailey DV,bought new through e-bay.As above really-easy to fit and it isn't as chav as some on the market. At normal speeds(30mph),you can hear it,but its not deafening. However, the quicker you go,the louder it gets. The Turbo appears to spool up quicker as well.Best of both worlds for me...
