light weight MY 93 WRX-RA 'hill climb'
Has anyone stripped their interior inc carpets out of a Scoob & ran with two light weight seat's only.
Any tips outhere & perhaps someone could recommend seat choice.
Oh and roll cage options.....

I use Sparco Revs in my other car, not the lightest, but not bad at about 6kgs a piece from memory. Very comfy, good support too.
However even just over particularly bad bumps on gravel I have hit my head off the cage so hard that it has been a shock through the helmet. I wouldn't cage a car that is also to be used on the road also regularly. There's a lot of opinion on this subject though.

You need side mounting sub-frames which'll enable you to mount the seats as low as possible. Its only by doing this that you can avoid the real risks that a roll cage poses in day to day use.

Have run a cage in my Impreza for nearly 4 years, 3000 miles a year with stock and low race seats (hill climb car) and I'm 5' 10'' ish, not ever an impact on any of it.
Porsche GT 3's etc come with a cage as a road car, doubt they would get it wrong.
I see no point in a cage for a road car, but after 13 years hillclimbing with a 911 and the Sti v3 both with cages the only time I've hit a cage with my head was hillclimbing in the 911! (hit a 200 year old tree....) split the helmet according to the post accident check-over.
