Question Coolant Tank?

In my MY00 classic turbo there is a small bottle at the front right hand side of the engine bay with 'coolant' marked on it's cap. There's a pipe coming from the filler cap but it doesn't seem to be connected at the other end? Is this just an overflow/breather or should it be connected somewhere?

Cheers guys

Neil

that is the overflow, so not connected.. other than usually to the horn so it drips any water into the horn to make it sound better

The bottom of the visible part of the tank has a small diameter pipe which is connected to a pipe that crosses the radiator top and connects to the header tank on the inlet manifold.
