Default My WRX sounds like a steam train

I can't really explain the noise easily, but when I turn to the left, the front right wheel makes the noise of a steam train, i.e, ch ch ch ch ch ch ch
like there's something in the wheel, but it doesn't do it when I turn right?

Any ideas please?!? going mad

Its a 1994 WRX IMPORT

or a stone stuck in the brake pads, or the backing plate has been bent into the brake disk or has something stuck in it.

If it is the CV joint, how much is it likely to cost to repair?

Jack up each corner in turn and check for play in the hub just be be sure nothings come loose.

CV Joints normally make a clicking noise when they go.
