Only two options as far as I can see -

1 - Apply a liberal amount of butter to all four wheels (margerine will work)

2 - find the edge of a cliff and...............

Yes it can be done, but it will cost more converting the engine (thats even if you could find a set of low comp pistons) than it would to stick a WRX lump in..

Save your pennies and buy a WRX or Turbo2000 when you're older/have more money.

You get turbo's for as little as £2k, although the condition is another thing. I agree with the others, it will cost a lot more to "tart" up the 1.6, than getting the turbo'd version, which you seem to want.

Dat is al da uverz r sayin

If it's a 1.6 is it 4WD or FWD? You'd be wasting your efforts trying to get more power into a FWD scooby.

Sorry no offence but your spelling, grammer and general persona suggest otherwise.

Its not just the engine that you have to change, you cant have that much power and use the standard suspension and brakes, you will end up crashing it in no time.

Turbo 2000 bonnet with scoop + sprayed?
Impreza engine and gearbox?
Turbo 2000 4-pot brakes?
Turbo 2000 Suspension or aftermarket coilovers?
Turbo 2000 interior as the 1.6Gl ones wont support you when taking corners quicker?
+ Labour and fluids etc

Id say about £3000 at a guess to convert your 1.6 into a Turbo 2000! Like someone said before your better off selling your 1.6gl and getting a turbo 2000!

For even suggesting converting a 16 scoob to a turbo people think you are an ****

Going ahead and doing it would make you the biggest **** ever to own a scoob.

Have some dignity man and save your pennies for the real thing

Just to clarify if this threads a wind up or not, I have a question.

Did you previously, within the last 2 weeks, own a blinged up Saxo? If you did, then fair play, the threads genuine and you are a tit.

**** I currently own a lowered Saxo on non-standard rims. This is getting part-exed for my 04 WRX which i'm getting in the next 10 days.
