I've just done a group buy on these, they're from ESL.

I think I'm the only one that's fitted it yet out of the GB lot, sure they'll be along soon to correct me!

They are a very good upgrade if you are running a near standard car. I've a Version 2 STI with IK and full decat, it's totally transformed my car! The boost delivery is very smooth and it's currently at 1.1 bar. I don't have to use octane booster anymore either, so in the long run it's going to save me money!

Very wothwhile chip and customer service from Andy is spot on!

Nick.

Second what Nick said. Bought one of these in the group buy nick organised, installed it today and it has transformed my car. I'm running with a panel filter and decat exhaust. Smooth power and boost comes in earlier, engine is running as sweet as can be with no signs of det whatsoever.
Highly recommend these chips.

Has anyone in the group buy fitted the upgrade to a pre 96 WRX Wagon, if so how did it go?
I'm also looking at getting one, I saw the GB the day after it closed!

Careful there matey, I believe borat has also fitted a td05 which I think I am correct in saying this chip would need? 96 wrx wagon is a td04??

If I am talking bollards I apologise.

You're right ritchie, however the ESL chip will still make a considerable difference as it will boost the TD04 to 1bar!

I would love a tdo5 but I can't afford one yet. I've read (on sn) that a tdo4 is good for 280bhp, that is plenty of horses of me...I think.
Thanks for letting me know only in the gb it was mentioned that their would be some soldering needed for imports. I would just like to know how they did this.

I'd stick with the TD04 if I were you, I found the scoob was much more drivable with the TD04, boost came in way earlier. The only reason I went for the TD05 is because my old turbo was making some real bad noises and the car was up for a service so thought I would try the 05 out. Not that I am complaining, the car was way quicker with the TD05 (didnt have the esl chip when i had it service so was just running a standard '95 saloon map) but you need to get the revs up higher than on the 04. I think the esl chip on a TD04 would actually be a much nicer drive than with the TD05, and you would be hard pushed to tell any difference in power between the 2 imho.
