Default Fitting oil pressure sender above Cylinder 3?

Hi,

Are there any problems associated with fitting an oil temp sensor and oil pressure sensor above cylinder 3 using the correct sized T piece?

I Realise the space is limited, but will the oil pressure be a correct reading? As removing the alternator seems like a big job and I am not confident re-tensioning the belt!

cheers

Without trying to sound rude; If your not confident in tensioning up a alternator belt I dont think you should be messing with things that could cause possible oil pressure drops..

Thanks for the speedy response,

I'm more than happy about fitting the senders as a friend of mine and I have done it before, however I have never fitted/tensioned a belt before is it a easy job? I guess it will be on here if I search for it.

Any ideas on fitting the sensor above cylinder 3?

does anyone know the thread size of the adaptor that you need to replace the blanking plug in this place on the engine. (sorry to hijack the thread but info may be good for you too).

You can remove the original sender uner the alternator and replace with new sender without the need for moving the alternator/belt...at least I managed to do it to fit defis to my motors...
