Default AVCR - Fuelling???

hi guys!

If I fit a avcr to my '93 wrx (running about 1.2bar) will the standard (chipped) ecu take care of the fuelling? or is an afc essential?

cheers
Mark.

I would say it depends if the chip was mapped to your car or if it is a generic chip. You will need to post details of the chip and then maybe someone can tell you

Ideally you need to get the car on the rolling road and get the current fuelling checked. This will tell you if you have any headroom for raising the boost. Dont just rely on the type of chip, it needs checking properly all the way through the rev range other wise it could be fatal for the engine if you run lean

removing chip and adding fuel cut defencer wont achieve anything, apart from removing the fuel cut, so chances are you would be running lean with no safety with the ecu, so likely outcome is the popping of the engine

As above - get the car checked on the road with wideband and DET cans to make sure all is well

Cheers
