Default Single DIN to double on Classic

Can this be done?
I'd like to have the extra space to put a screen.
Here is my panel.

I haven't had a try yet, so I don't even know if the heater controls can be relocated elsewhere.

On my import I've got a din size panel at the top for the climate control, then below that a double din slot. You've got the same size hole there if you take out your three switches and put them somewhere else. I did have a factory double din cage in there though, which I modded to take a single din pocket and a single din head unit.

thanks for the reply. I think relocating the controls might be a problem though.

I think the only way to do it on a UK car would be to get hold of a complete centre section of the dash including the heater controls from an import and making it all fit into the UK dash.

Probably not impossible but a PITA to do.
