I have a 53 plate uk spec wrx wagon and was wondering what i would have to do to achieve 300bhp and how much it would cost.
Any advice, prices or help would be appreciated.
Car only has 23k on the clock.

Get hold of back copies of the Scooby Magazine where Andy Forrest has detailed the modifications made to his own MY03 WRX.

The standard td04 won't make that kind of power,
IMHO, you will need, bigger injectors, a bigger turbo,Andy F does a modified td04, or go for a front entry Td05 or an IHI series, STI V7 / 8 intercooler, uprated fuel pump, decatted up pipe, decatted down pipe or a hi flow sports cat dp, back box and centre section + ecutek remap
You will get 300 bhp + all day long from any good mapper.
This is not going to be cheap, but you could hunt around for the right bits at the right price on here and ebay.
Oh yeah, upgrading the brakes would also be a good idea, at the minimum I would suggest braided brake lines, dot 5.1 fluid and a good set of front pads.

Yes listen to Ninny Bobbs i did exactly the same with my MY03 WRX and payed Mr F a visit after reading his articles!! Full Decat and TD05 is the way forward !! STI IC & Fuel Pump with 550cc injectors will easily get you over the 300HP mark with a remap!!

TD05 front entry
Full exhaust system with no cats or sports cats
Boost gauge
Knocklink
3 port solenoid
Fuel pump
Ecu remap
