Question oil runing temp?!?!

the car is a wrx sti 1995 got 53k on the engine now i changed the oil and filter 6oomiles ago (oil is magnetec) now the oil temp does not get over 23c altho today after being out driving for 2 hours the temp got to 31c is this normal?

its doesnt even get hot after a good hour or so of semi hard driving on motorways the water temp allways gets warm and once there doesnt move i hav the standard temp gauge in the car and a temp gauge on the turbo timers and they both read the same what are your thoughts?!

First piece of advice is to drain the magnatec and use a decent oil.

I would expect around 90 degrees celsius plus in normal driving, depending on where the sender is. Mine is above No 3 (the hottest point for oil), and that reads 95-100 in normal driving, upto 110-115 in hard driving.

Suggest you check the oil levels etc - you could have no oil reaching the sender (air lock) which would possibly give a low reading. Or you have disturbed something when doing the oil change. If it is only now reading low aft 600 miles, sender has probably died.
