Default Cars dead

Took the car for a spin today. It was running fine ,went to pull out of a junction the car seems to have lost all its power car gets to 40mph while juddering with a pulling then backing off feeling and then wont go anymore change to 5th gear and it goes to 60Mph max still juddering. The rev counter has stopped working also and the windows seem to be slow going up and down the turbo guage is showing boost so the turbo seems ok .There is a massive power loss coming from somewhere .the car got home ok but now won't start.Anyone have any suggestions or similar experiences.

Thanks
James

PS what a great day
