Default Engine dumps all oil causing engine to cut/fire?

Hi.Anybody have any ideas as i have yet to check damage. Before i knew anything when stopping at lights, noticed heavy smoke coming out of bonnet scoop then engine cut out, dumping all engine oil.Quickly opened bonnet to see front o/s of engine flaming, presume oil had dropped onto manifold, taking with it fan blades. Thanks

hmmm doesnt sound to good specially with the engine cutting out. Check for holes in your engine!!!
OR maybe the engine loom has burnt and thats whats caused your engine to cut out

Thanks for your replies. As yet signs of oil are showing above the oil filter itself but as it dumped the lot within 10meters its hard to pin point. The flames albeit short lived also managed to burn timing belt o/s cover.Any more ideas to the loss of all oil in such a short time. Thanks again
