Default lamdba sensor... location

my 95wrx is showing up a fault code 32 which is the lamdba sensor. just want to know where it's located in the exhaust before i stick my head under the car.

Its in the headers, drivers side before the uppipe. Like you say, stick your head under the car and you should see it sticking out from the heatshield. If it isn't there then it may have been moved to the downpipe, if you have a decat downpipe fitted.

also i saw a thread saying you can move the lambda sensor to the downpipe ?
What the advantage ?? ( i don't have a de cat in)

The advantage is the temperature of the exhaust gasses are cooler in the downpipe than in the headers, hence a less harsh enviornment for the sensor to work in.

If you have the OE catted pipe there isn't a boss to move it to, there is one on the later cars (MY97 onwards I think) or any decat pipe.
