Will this muffler swap be worthwhile?

Okay, for the time being I have decided to get a better and subtle exhaust tune until I can find the right choice of EM and exhaust combination for my 05 wrx.
Will swapping out only my stock WRX muffler with an Sti one make my low end torque worse (any difference at all apart from sound)?
Or should I buy a Sti mid pipe and muffler and swap them to my WRX?
