Default do you empty an oil catch can?

if so how? and silly question as it maybe, but should there be much oil in there? i can see a liquid in the little tube that can be seen but it doesnt look like oil to me....so am curious to know what else could be in there?

should it be emptied on oil change?

If you are doing mainly shortish runs you will just get mayo as condensate fills it up, I empty mine when its full, I know that when it chucks loads of mist out the back on accelleration, given my driving habits thats about once every two months. Always condensate with slight oil from mist making mayo.

mayo?

so it sounds to me like ill empty it then, thats fine, im sure ill be doing that plenty of times in the future! going to be changing it to 15w50 now that near 2k miles is up. So i will see how quiclkly it fills up again before i come down and see you Bob..
