Turbo - Not holding boost? any suggestions?
Hi, I have got a UK 99, turbo wise I fitted a VF28 turbo from a P1 last Nov, since then I have done 10k miles and all has been fine, recently though boost has been dropping off, it's stable upped 3rd gear but in 4th & 5th it seems like it slightly over boosting then dropping off 6 or so psi before picking up again, this happens approx 3 times before settling back to normal again. I have had the intercooler of and looked round all the pipes and I cannot find any holes, has anyone had similar problems?

Thanks Craig, I have had a look and it all looks OK, I spoke to a mate about this and he suggested getting a boost controller as it would it then replace the old solenoid, is this right and do you think it is worth a try?

I had some nightmare boost problems - replaced the solenoid with a manual boost controller and things are MUCH better now! The car is a UK MY99 and I set the boost to 1.2 Bar in 3rd Gear.
