Default any thing i can do about noisy tappets

apart from using thicker oil lol

If you have an sti, you should be able to re-shim the head.

If you've got heads with solid lifters, they're shimmed to correct tolerances, the lifters that is...

my car is a 1995 STI2

any ideas what my options are?

I think these shims are rare best ask one of the regulars like David at API or Paul at Zen if they have any in stock

1995 has hydraulic lifters , try using a flushing oil then some new 10/40 oil

Could be trapped air... has it started doing it recently, perhaps since the oil was last changed?

also 2 other things

should i worry about this problem at all

and could it be sorted without removing the engine (ive already done that once for a big end )
