I brazed mine, works nicely, but so does tig welding. Mig is okay, but you need to ensure you get all the zinc plating off, and do a nice neat weld with no porosity to ensure they don't leak. I would braze or low temp silver solder in favour of mig welding. I turned down my threaded fittings to fit nicely inside the rail, made it very easy to braze
