Jap Import with limiter needs removing
Hiya all,
I have purchased a Jap Import WRX and it still has the limiter on it. Can anyone tell me how to get this useless piece of crap off my scooby?
Cheers

Just bought one of these but havent fitted it yet. Looks easy enough. What you have to remember is that the speed 'o' will read miles an hour on the KM's scale. Ie the speed will be read from 0-180mph on the inside of the clock. I think this maybe an MOT fail for some reason. I seem to remember someone telling me that that The Speed 'o' has to read MPH in large numerals on the outside! you can get a speed 'o' dial from:
http://www.superdials.com/ccp51/cgi-...=cat&ref=DIALS
I think to order from SE you have to post the order form.
Try www.milsport.co.uk for online ordering of the delimiter. Its under sundries

How much is a converter because mine is still limited???? What would max speed of Jap Import WRX Turbo be without a limiter? Think mine is currently limited to 112 or 120 can't remember now exactly!

de-limiter costs about 50-60 pounds. New dials are 40-50 pounds. The de-limiter looks like a 5 minute fit. Ive not done it yet but barring disaster it looks a doddle. The dials look like a bit more work. Removing the Guage binacle!
Should get 130-140 Mph depending on the condition of the car. Fuel used etc.
Mine cuts just after it goes of the speedo. I think the official figure is 112MPH.

Well fitted the thing today and as usuall things were not as straight forward as they first looked. Fitting the dials actually went better than expected. Since your delimiting anyway i reccomend that when you reconnect the dash pod you disconnect the speed 'o' cable from the gearbox. Its pretty easy to pull out of the dash pod but no so easy to get back in without a bit of slack. Fitting the delimiter was a bit of a pain since once its on its very dificult to get the clip its supplied with, into the slot underneath. Tried fitting the clip first and pushing the delimiter through it but it didnt work too good that way either. The original clip would have been great since it wasnt so strong and was easy to get on and off. In the end i ended up modding the original.
It would be nice if these things came with a bit of cable attached for more ease of fitting

I'd just like to complement www.setrans.co.uk for their quick service. I order my speedo converter for a 95 classic on Wednesday and it arrived Thursday morning. They also have the correct dial ( 0 - 180 in Black ).
